The Cove Phuket

We had a wonderful last-minute stay at The Cove after deciding to leave our previous hotel early – and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, greeting us with a refreshing drink and a lovely fruit platter. The rooms are spacious, beautifully styled, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. You can really tell care goes into the details. The service throughout our stay was consistently friendly and professional. We dined at the restaurant a couple of times and were impressed with the quality of the food – everything was well presented, delicious, and came out quickly. While the prices are a little on the higher side, it felt fair considering the stunning views and convenience. Plus, the 2-for-1 cocktails were a great bonus, and it was nice to see they use spirits from a local distillery. The location is great too – within walking distance to town, but still tucked away enough to feel relaxed and peaceful. We opted to pay for a late checkout until 6pm before our flight, which made the whole travel day so much more comfortable. All in all, The Cove is a perfect spot for a peaceful, stylish, and relaxing Phuket stay. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere and location were absolutely great, and the food was served quickly. However, the service and how the staff handled an unexpected situation were not as good as they should have been. I ordered tom yum and found a rubber band like the ones used to tie food bags inside the dish. While the server did call the chef to apologize, there was no offer to replace the dish, and I was left with a bowl of tom yum that had a clear contaminant. Honestly, if you were the one who found something like that in your food, would you feel comfortable continuing to eat it? Would the person who made it even eat it themselves? I still had to pay the full price without any discount, despite the incident. I'm not writing this review to boycott the restaurant, but rather to urge the management to take service quality and crisis handling more seriously. The food prices are relatively high, so I believe customers deserve better care in situations like this.

This review is for the Restaurant only- we did not stay at the Hotel, but dined at the Cove’s Restaurant. To keep it simple- you are going to dine here simply for the View. Food is a bit pricey and tastes bland and service is hardly there. We ordered pizzas and the crust was like Lavash bread-terrible Pizza. Coconuts were not cold and service was borderline unwelcoming, despite us being the only table. Overall excellent view at the restaurant but food is nothing special.
