Very pleased with our stay. We were up for a concert at P&J, and this place worked out very well. We were lucky with our room which was very spacious. Excellent breakfast (best kippers ever, but plenty of other options). We ended up having dinner which was also good, though not the cheapest. We were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff at all levels from cleaners to reception. They kept the residents bar open after the concert so guests could have a nightcap - a thoughtful touch. It's a great location for TECA - maybe a 500 yard walk. There are a couple of hotels actually closer to the venue, but they looked more "corporate" than Craighaar, and we would choose it again if we're ever back in the area. Recommended.
Good food, beautiful hotel but bar prices are a joke £1.20 more for a pint than local bar’s & eateries. Bar staff on day I visited, not really friendly.
£5.70 for the worst pint of Tennents in the area that they have the audacity to charge £1.50 more than local bars. And on top of that, they charge you £4.75 for a plain pint of soda, with nothing in it. Disgraceful. If you're going to charge prices like that you should really warn people.
