The Craigie Hotel

Highly recommended: Elegant, well-maintained and modernised rooms, comfortable beds – we slept very well. Good cuisine, a huge and tasty breakfast offer, a nice bar, very attentive and friendly service. When the sun is shining (yes, it sometimes is!) it's nice to sit in the beer garden. Bus stops to Edinburgh (approx. 45 minutes travel time) very close. It was nice, we would love to come back!

Our room was a twin bed at the top of the stairs, not great for a couple of old Ladies, but thanks to the lovely staff who carried our rather large suitcases up to our room made it a lot less difficult and the room was lovely, warm an inviting, with great views. The guys(staff)were ever so nice, and friendly. The breakfast menu is amazing as well as the food, we also had dinner there as well, good prices and great food. The Hotel is beautiful, with a lovely outdoor area and very clean. The Location is wonderful for all the local attractions, and a wee bit out of Edinburgh about 58mins-1hr depending on which bus you catch which are close to the pub. Personally I didn't mind the travel as the scenery is lovely. I would highly recommend this Hotel and plan to go back with family.

Let's start with the fact that it is a famous in the area for it's amazing both in taste and value, breakfasts! The full Scottish was absolutely delicious and of sizeable portion. Rooms are newly refurbished to a higj standard, being made every day and thouroughly cleaned, which was not expected for a two night stay! Setting of the hotel is perfect, close to Edinburgh while surrounded by picturesque nature, just like in the films, for those like me visiting Scotland for the first time! And to the lovely staff that makes it all happen, thank you! Keep up the amazing work and see you next time!
