I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carton Hotel in Sisli, and I must say, the entire experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality that made me feel welcome and at home they worked above and beyond to make us happy, everyone from the managers to everyone else not to forget Fatih too. Thank you guys so much I’m definitely coming back.

This hotel is definitely not worth 5 stars. 2, maybe 3 at most. For a 5 stars hotel, my expectations were much higher. Breakfast is very limited, bathrooms are small (no space to place your stuff), mattress feels like an elephant slept in it (you sink in), bedsheets had holes, mattress was smaller than the bed frame so we hit our legs multiple times on it. All this I could’ve ignored if it wasn’t for 1 huge issue. Ac was not working. We had a technician come 4 times. Reset, clean filter, did something else, and eventually they just brought us a fan. I guess a way to say “don’t expect the ac to even work”. For July, it was very hot in the room. After reading these reviews, everyone does say things about air conditioning but the hotel doesn’t seem to be bothered. Would not come back

TL;DR – Don’t book here. Not worth your time and money. This is a review for The Craton Hotel. I stayed here for 6 days and everyday got worse and this review is based on my 6 days stay. Completely unbelievably. I don’t know why google has tagged this hotel as 5 star. It is not a 5-star hotel — it does not come close to 5 stars at all. The only reason it’s even in consideration is because of the location. Check-in experience was not okay — nobody speaks proper English, and they made us wait in the lobby for 15 minutes. Then a bellboy came and said it’s all done and took us to the room. Room – was hot and small. AC was turned off, and even after turning it on, it took a day for it to cool down. We requested 3 beds, and the bellboy said this is the only room available and the hotel is fully booked — and it’s not the hotel’s problem. Literally straight to our face, he said it’s not the hotel’s problem and didn’t give us any other option. We just came from a 14-hour flight and this is what we’re getting. The room size was very small, like it’s in a city. The tv inside the room does not have a single channel that’s in English and no way to connect to Netflix or any other streaming services. The sofa bed was dusty — I requested bedsheets and pillows and nobody answered, so I went down to the lobby and explicitly asked for them. After 30 minutes, still nothing. Then I went down again and asked for the same things again, and it still took them around 15 minutes to bring the stuff. Buffet breakfast – 7 to 11 a.m. I would give it 2/10. The coffee machine didn’t work, and you basically just go for eggs — that’s it. It’s useless, and the bread is cold all the time. Their juices are just apple and orange. Service – 1/10. You request extra towels? It will take 3 follow-ups and 3 hours of waiting every day. They clean your room but don’t give you new towels, so you just use the same towels for your entire stay. They replaced the bedsheets, though. This has got to be my worst hotel service experience ever. I’m usually easy and accepting of people and situations, but this was completely ridiculous. That’s why they say that Turkey is losing tourism. They upcharge but don’t match the service.
