The Cridford Inn

Visited today for lunch. Rain was lashing down but the fire was lit and the pub felt very welcoming. I had the steak and ale pie which was excellent and my husband had the ham, egg and chips also delicious as was the chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Top quality wine and beer also, couldn’t fault it! Worth a visit in any weather!

My wife and I stayed at the Cridford while down in the area for a family gathering. It’s the perfect spot, classic English quirky, great restaurant, comfortable beds and lovely hosts. The restaurant is renowned locally for the quality of the food, I can confirm it’s great. The hotel itself doesn’t have a straight wall or floor in the whole place, but I guess you should expect that from a building that’s been in constant use since 825 AD. Ness and Paul make lovely hosts, warm and welcoming. One thing to note, they have EV charging on site (2 x 7.2kW) but these aren’t (as yet) listed on their website. Recommended

Beautiful little medieval style pub, tucked away in the countryside. We went there for lunch after visiting Canonteign Falls as it's only 5 mins away. Food was delicious, staff were really friendly and the place itself felt really inviting. Will definitely be back.
