The Cromwell Arms

I didn't stay here overnight so can't comment on the rooms but we frequently eat here and use the bar. It's a decent pub and the food is good. I like Fuller's pubs as they all seem to be a good standard and I don't feel I've had my trousers pulled down when we have eaten here. I would recommend it. 👍

My wife and I had a very nice 1 night stay and we were upgraded on arrival which was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place seemed to be well organised. Roast beef dinner was nice and brownie dessert was very tasty. Prices are a bit high...£21 for roast beef is a bit too much and dessert was also pricey. I could have had an extra slice of meat, too...so portions could be a bit more generous. Nevertheless, a very nice place and I think we would stay again when visiting Romsey.

I stopped by for a burger and a drink, here's my thoughts; Major pros: - Food was really nice - Dining area was nice - Toilets were very modern and clean - Staff were attentive - Price was very reasonable Minor pros: - Plenty of parking space Major cons: - None Minor cons: - No soft drinks menu was offered in the dining area - Food portion size was very small, the burger was tiny - Waiting staff were busy and seemed quite overworked / rushed Overall a very good pub, they do all the main things right! I'd eat there again.
