This was a lovely place to stay. The room and bathroom were both spacious. Plenty of pillows and towels. As I am a sole traveller I have stayed at other places where they give you one pillow and one tiny bath towel. If I had requested fresh towels, these would have been provided. The food was substantial, filling and reasonably priced. Plenty of sitting inside and out. Definitely dog friendly. Their breakfast is also substantial, with a choice of fruit, yoghurt, and cereals to help yourself to and a range of cooked breakfasts to order. I would definitely stay here again.

I ate here with my son at lunchtime. We really enjoyed the food. We ordered a few starters to pick at, with some chips. We were not disappointed. Our dog was fussed over, too. She was given plenty of attention, strokes & a couple of dog biscuits. It was pricy but as it was just the two of us & we were celebrating Mothers Day late, it was entirely worth it. It is a good, decent sized menu with a separate specials board. Asian fusion meets more traditional options. Kids menu available with a nice choice of meals, not just the old chicken nuggets/ fish fingers. I love the location of the crooked inn. It is right by the A38 but looks out over the green fields above Notter Bridge and beyond. We sat in the conservatory as it was a lovely sunny day. The lady who served us was lovely, friendly & accommodating. The toilets were well decorated, clean & well stocked with toilet roll & hand wash! We are local to the area, so we weren't using the hotel facilities, so I can not comment on that side of the business.
