The Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster

Me and my partner had a lovely 3 course meal at the Robata Grill restaurant. The service from Ruby was second to none and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We also want to thank whole team including Hannah, Gemma and Manish for making our evening extra special. The parking was pretty full at the back of the hotel, but with the new and improved pay and display car park at the front, this wasn’t an issue. We look forward to our next visit for some more food again soon!

Went for a wedding..the catering and food was exceptional..cordinated expertly in the private function room Drinks were reasonably priced considering. Hotel clean and tidy. The bad points.... £120 for a room with a bed and a television..lack of tea and coffee and sugar sachets for 2 people..yes the reception is open 24/7 but paying for a room that expensive you would expect a few more extra to cover. The car parking charge is £6..another rip off charge when staying overnight at this hotel..parking round the back is a nightmare and a struggle to get out Do not stop in rooms 1 to 20 as someone decides to start playing elton john at 7am in the morning..ok if you like that lol..but these rooms are underneath the reception...not enough towels for two people..small bathroom..reception lady just brushed our issues off Would not stop there overnight again and would not recommend it to anybody You are paying premium prices for a standard overnight stay

Extremely disappointed — security and service failures on our wedding night We stayed at Crown on the night for our wedding, and the experience was shockingly poor. We booked two extra rooms for six guests, paid for extra beds, and coordinated with staff in advance. Despite this, the hotel gave the wrong room (103) to three senior guests, with only two beds and no extra bedding. Worse, around 11 PM, two other guests were given the same key to the room — and walked in while it was already occupied. This is a serious security and privacy breach that should never happen. One guest with asthma was left distressed. Another had to sleep in a “desk chair” because of the lack of proper beds. Luggage was also not moved as promised. When we raised this with reservations team, staff were unhelpful and dismissive, telling us to speak to someone else. No apology, no ownership. On what should have been one of the happiest nights of our lives, we were left feeling frustrated and deeply let down. This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, care, and guest safety!
