Let's keep it simple. Excellent pub, in an excellent location. Brilliant food, and nice accommodation. Nice to stay over for the night and enjoy the pub late into the evening. Staff and locals made us feel very welcome.
We booked a table here when we were staying in a local campsite only a 10 minute walk away and we loved it! It's the perfect country pub with great food and drink measures. We took 2 dogs in with us too which was welcomed. The bar maid, who I think was also the owner was very attentive and friendly. We had a really good laugh with her and thought she was great fun and made us feel very comfortable. We also loved the outdoor urinal! No touching dirty door handles in a cramped smelly bathroom. The food was so so good. One of the best shephards pie we've had and the beef and beer was delicious. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone passing or staying close by!
Love this place. Warm welcome, hearty food, lovely beer. Stayed here as a base for walking in glorious Upper Nidderdale. This family owned pub, hotel and restaurant is North Yorkshire hospitality at its very best. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
