The Crown Inn

Stayed here for three nights before moving closer to Oxford. Wished we had spent all of our time in this beautiful country establishment. The owners and their wonderful team were beyond wonderful. Service was impeccable and the rooms were beautifully presented and comfortable. Meals were absolutely delicious and the pub was everything you expect of an ancient country inn, fireplace, fabulous bar, anda warm and friendly atmosphere. This place was the stand out highlight of our UK holiday

We loved our stay at the Crown! So much so we are staying again on our return journey from Cornwall back to the North East. It is a lovely period pub, great bar and restaurant with proper beer & food. The breakfast was lovely and i was super impressed the staff had made up a table for our breakfast in the bar since we had our dog with us (dog friendly in the bar area) with dog bowl ready! It was perfect for us and meant we had a quieter spot with the dog away from other guests. The rooms were really nice and everything we needed. Super friendly staff, lovely setting and we really enjoyed! Highly recommended!

Great room in country pub restaurant. Stayed to be nearby to family. Good location. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Occasionally I had to wait a while for service at breakfast… it was very good when it arrived and probably just a momentary lapse as they had a group wanting early breakfasts.
