Had cod with smoky tomato butter beans and side dish of mixed veg. Really delicious and different. Lovely and efficient staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere and busy, especially as it was a Monday. Dogs can be brought into the bar. Recommend. Did not stay overnight.
Had dinner for 2 here. Didn’t need a reservation but they were busy on a lovely summer Sunday evening. Service was lovely and we really enjoyed the food. Seafood Chowder was a stand out but would also recommend the Blackened Cod. Portions are generous. Mostly seafood and steaks. Very good value.
Lovely experience. We booked dinner and an overnight stay and have to say that overall it was lovely. Atmosphere, food and service were faultless. The room was very comfortable, with everything one could expect. The only minor criticism was the view over the kitchen roof, but we weren't there for the view! On the other hand, and helped by the nice weather, sitting outside the bar enjoying a post prandial drink or three was a very pleasant way to spend an evening.
