The Cubana Resort Nambucca Heads

Great place to stay, beautiful recent refurbishment, room was lovely and clean. Awesome breakfast included with the room rate. After a long day travelling our little boy thoroughly enjoyed a swim, spa and steam room. Highly recommend!

We stayed here several years ago when it was known by a different name afterwards it appeared to become very rundown so chose to stay in other places. However, now known as The Cubana and renovated extensively we decided to give it a go. Our room was great, spacious (not over furnished), king size bed with quality bedding, very comfortable and also very quiet. The room was modern and very clean, just a small kettle, no toaster microwave etc, but we were only there for one night. Dinner at the Mexican restaurant was very nice with great friendly service. Breakfast was a delight in this lovely glassed in restaurant. A good variety of cereals, breads, croissants etc. I loved that the milk was refrigerated and there was a kettle to boil for tea. Overall we would stay again, however, the bathroom could have been cleaned better particularly around the taps, there was a cracked tile in the shower and the shower recess needs more care and regular deep cleaning. It was definitely good value for money and all staff were very helpful and friendly.

Staff were friendly and breakfast was actually quite good, but the room was a bit disappointing. Styling was quite nice but mould and dirt were off-putting, especially the mould on the aircon which we could smell as soon as we entered the room. Had to remind them I booked direct to get the breakfast too as they thought I didn't.The restaurant is styled very nicely. Good location for a night or two.
