The Darling Hotel

Unique former courthouse, transformed into a boutique hotel worth visiting at least once. Rooftop restaurant was very nice, attentive staff, and the bar was in theme of classic Art Deco. Be prepared for traffic sounds. This hotel is on a major street with single pane glass. Free parking across the street. Just climb the stairs or call the desk for elevator access. Overall, bathrooms were clean, towels were amazing, and daily water bottles were wonderful touches. Go for the history, and don't miss out on the pool.

The Darling is a fantastic example of how to restore a historic building-what they've done with this 1935 gem is truly impressive. The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. The in-room amenities, including Bodrun cattle with quality tea and coffee, really make you feel at home. The staff were fantastic-always attentive and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is a must-visit, packed with locals every day and serving incredible food. It really adds to the overall experience. One small area for improvement is the shower. While it looks great, is a bit high, so the water flow and the pressure could be better. However, the private parking is a big plus for those traveling by car. Overall, highly recommend this hotel!

We have really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We love the art deco style and the service on the roof top bar was great! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to visit sequoia national park!
