The Dean Cork

Tucked away in a small quiet part of Cork, but it knows how to party. One of the most happening places to stay. The rooftop restaurant is great with views on two sides of the city. The bar downstairs is great, and the staff is awesome. On Saturday nights they have a DJ pumping up good music. Right next to the Kent train station and a bus stop. Stayed here for a week, and would recommend. The rooms are a bit smaller for the price (at least that was my experience) but if you are not going to spend a lot of time in the room then it’s fine. The study desk’s chair are not ideal, too low and can’t be adjusted so if you’re looking to get some work done, it’s not good enough. The pool, sauna and steam room is amazing.

The bar at the reception was so polite and helpful, both of our check-in and check-outs were quick, the front desk was great, we really liked our room. It was so nicely decorated. The bathroom was flawless. Probably one of the best I ever saw, the only thing can be bad is the rooftop bar's menu needs improvement but other than that The Dean was fantastic. We will come again as soon as we can.

We booked this hotel because we believed it would provide good accommodation for my wife who is disabled and unable to walk more than a couple of steps. The first room we were allocated did not have a wet room, as arranged, and so we had to change rooms. The bed in the new room was very low. I understand that this is ideal for some disabilities but not every disability is the same. My wife was unable to get herself off the bed. The management arranged for a taller bed frame to be moved into the room which was very helpful. The room was of a good size but there was nowhere to store clothes. We stayed for six nights and the only available storage was six hooks on the wall. No drawers, no wardrobe. The staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful.
