The Deck Quarters

Last minute mid-week booking proved delightful. Sumptuous bed, bathrobes, spa bath for two, rain shower as well as hand held, body wash, shampoo etc provided. Coffee machine , tea & milk also. Heating great for a mid Winter stay. Quality decor in a lovely old building, close to everything and quiet. We stayed in the “Boudoir Room” upstairs. Pet friendly too.

I like the atmosphere of the place- but I must say that the cleanliness could be improved. My pillow was dirty as well as the blanket on the bed. I’m sorry to say this - but never again. I hope you can improve.

Great location but that’s about it. Stayed at the loft and my comments are: Not sufficient heating given it’s winter. Panel heater in the common lounge indicated 14 degrees (very cold!). Our kitchen area was cold and panel heater was blasting to keep us warm. Given the price of the room, milk and water should at least be provided. No welcoming pamphlets and wifi details. Contact person Susan impossible to reach. In the bedroom upstairs: Mattress needs to be thrown away, it’s a joke. After 2 nights sleeping on it, my back is so sore. Remote control of the tv had no battery so we had to change channels manually. Spa is nice but only fits one person. The shower head however is dodgy and the stiff hose keeps it coming back to a position that sprays water all over the bathroom. No body wash provided, only shampoo and conditioner.
