The Delphi Downtown LA

I loved my stay at The Delphi! The hotel is super nice and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly polite and attentive. To my surprise, I got a room upgrade and the room was amazing! The hotel also has a great bar and restaurant. I really loved everything about it. The location was also a plus. Even though it’s in DTLA, I felt safe, it’s in a part of downtown that didn’t have many homeless people and was close to a metro station and several bus stops. I’d definitely stay here again. Loved it!

Our stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed experience. The staff were generally helpful and friendly, which we really appreciated. However, the room itself felt quite basic for the price although clean. We had a couple of small issues during the stay, and while they weren’t major, they highlighted the hotel’s more hands-off approach to service. For example, when we asked for help as there was a noise issue coming from our neighbouring room, it took quite a while to resolve. Things like this made the place feel more functional than hospitable. That said, the location was convenient, and the communal areas were pleasant - diner is also really nice. We didn’t dislike our stay, but we wouldn’t rush to return either - it was fine, but not particularly memorable.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience — I received multiple insect bites, which appear to be bed bug bites.. I did not notice anything unusual at first, but by the time I checked out, I had several itchy red welts, primarily on my legs and ankles, a classic signs of bed bugs. This is totally unacceptable for any hotel! Cleanliness and sanitation should be a basic expectation. I am now dealing with the aftermath: treating the bites and taking precautions to avoid bringing bed bugs home. This is a nightmare! I hope the management takes this seriously and conducts a thorough inspection of the rooms. I would not return or recommend this hotel.
