My son came to view the room with me and the spa suite is amazing. It gives this warm and cozy but very elegant feeling. I have dinner reservations for Bohemia at 7pm tonight and I can’t wait to try their food.
What a lovely historic hotel to stay at and really a beautiful accommodation!! We had the suite with 2 queens for my daughter and myself and the beds were super comfortable - linens great - everything! Lovely room - nice big bathroom. Only beefs were room was 56 degrees when we arrived and we had come to enjoy the spa services for my daughter’s birthday and we were bummed the salt water grotto was down.
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. A luxury hotel that can’t provide basic amenities like hot water is already a red flag. But what truly made this stay unbearable was the complete lack of accountability or care from the staff and management. We went had no hot water in our room. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they deflected any responsibility, repeatedly passing me off to “management,” who were either unavailable or, when finally reached, dismissive and condescending. Instead of offering solutions or even a simple apology, I was met with gaslighting — being told the issue was temporary, that it was being handled, or worse, that it wasn’t really happening. Spoiler: it never got fixed. The attitude from management was as cold as the showers. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to cover it. It’s clear this hotel is in decline — from the minimal staffing to the poorly trained or completely unqualified people running the show. There’s no attention to guest comfort, no willingness to take responsibility, and absolutely no sense of urgency in resolving basic issues. For the price point, I expected service, hospitality, and functioning utilities — instead, I got excuses, disrespect, and freezing showers. Do yourself a favor: spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels that still remember what the word “hospitality” means. This is not one of them.
