We only intended to stay 1 night but stayed 2 due to its comfort & service. A great welcome from the staff at reception. Coming & going they interact warmly & friendly. Room was huge. Clean and had everything you needed. Plenty of tea coffee too. The beds are top quality pocket spring deep mattresses. The spar in bathroom was fun. The rooms are quiet great installation in the walls as we didn't hear our neighbours which was great. Bar service & choice great. Breakfast was well presented & had everything we wanted. Definitely stay here again. Many thanks to a well ran hotel.
My wife organised for us to stay in the iconic Dixie Dean hotel as part of a birthday treat for me and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the hotel is in need of a bit of TLC as it's a bit down at heel. (Apparently it went into administration shortly after opening.) The rooms are massive, clean and comfortable, although the storage facilities for clothes are not great. Loved the hydro bath and made full use of it. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The best thing about the hotel by far, were the staff, who all worked hard to make us feel welcome and to resolve any queries we had. Well done team, working in tough times.
Perhaps the largest room we have ever stayed at :) Hotel decor is quirky throughout, perhaps a little tired in places but nothing to spoil the enjoyment of our stay. Breakfast was a good choice of cold and hot food. Condiments in the room were good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location is great if you are wanting somewhere to stay whilst visiting Liverpool on train as the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Lime street station, as well as Empire theatre. We stayed mid-week and the hotel was nice and quiet. I can only imagine the weekend parties might change that ;)
