The Durley Dean Hotel

Went here on a couples trip for a few days, and honestly couldn’t fault it for the price. We booked last minute and We had a lovely corner room, spacious and comfy bed, nice bathroom and an amazing view including the sea! The staff are so lovely and helpful, and were always available no matter the time. The pool and sauna/steam room were nice, massive changing rooms with showers. We went midweek so practically had the pool to ourselves which was nice. Great location with only a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to lots of shops and im presuming the main part of the city. Overall amazing for the price.

Just back from a week here... Hotel is old and dated but very nice, and very clean. Staff are pleasant, though not enough. Poor guy in bar was doing 5 jobs, while 6 people in reception doing nothing! Hotel. Is in great location... Right along from beach... 10 min walk to pier, and near shops/pubs and restaurants. Our room was large enough, with a nice bathroom... Towels very small 🙄 But lots of storage for clothes etc. The food was good, and a good range of dishes in the bar... Not so much the restaurant... And if u order soup, u could share it with the whole hotel 🤣 but delish! 😋. The pool was small, but temperature was perfect! Steam room hot hot and sauna was cold 😔 maybe could give the pool a clean.... I went back to my room with lots of hair that wasn't mine! On a downside, there is no disabled access to the pool... I use a stick so the stairs were very hard work! All in all we had a great week.... And must say, the people of Bournemouth are very friendly and helpful... From bus/taxi drivers to restaurant staff and everyone else! Will be back 😁

This business does not honour its own terms. It only cares about taking your money. Avoid. Booked a Spa experience here under terms that clearly stated a full refund would be given if found unsuitable for pregnancy. My partner is now pregnant. They refuse a refund and I've only been offered credit instead, in direct breach of their own policy. The process has been a mess from the start. The voucher expiry date we were sent was wrong and therefore had to be extended. Now they’re using that delay as an excuse to deny the refund we’re entitled to. I have no choice but to escalate the matter to Trading Standards. Do not trust them.
