Beautiful hotel, very conveniently located next to the Ribeira and close walking distance to other main attractions and restaurants in Porto. Room was well maintained and the cleaning staff did a fantastic job each day. Rooms at the front can get a bit noisy from traffic outside, but this did not bother us. The highlight of this trip was definitely the staff. They got us situated with the city, made recommendations on what to see and where to eat, and were super friendly. Would recommend The Editory Hotel Ribeira

Rooms are small and quite basic. Nice bathrooms and showers. Not much of a view but perfectly placed for the Douro and Porto. Rear building is quieter at night but building works going on in building behind (June 2025) looks like several months or maybe years before it will be finished. Staff very helpful and delivered on all requests. Breakfast good.

Great location and almost 'feels like home'. A very good welcome despite being a 1am arrival from the airport. Also communication via whatsapp ahead of arrival was reassuring. The decor and feel of the place was homely - and particularly liked the scent in the corridors. Breakfast was simple, good value and had a good variety of foods to choose from.... so definitely try it but also get out and try breakfast / brunch elsewhere in Rubeira. If coming back to Porto then would stay here again.... location great for Sao Bento, the Douro, tram and pretty much everything. Being a little picky, I would say the coffee making facilities in the bedroom were insufficient - especially if you like coffee with milk and there were no biscuits or equivalent. However, they did give a fresh bottle of water each day which was welcomed so thanks for this. The only downside really was the transfer from the airport we arranged with the hotel. It was expensive compared to other means but the main issue was that the driver kept us waiting 30 mins at the airport. We could have been at the hotel in that time using a taxi or uber at the exit of the airport. (Recognise this is not the hotels fault) We got the metro back to the airport at a fraction of the price and much easier. Definitely consider staying here !
