First time here, absolutely loved it. We had a beautiful sea view room which was large, clean and quiet. Excellent location, as good as it gets. Parking was perfect. The owners were brilliant and very chilled, will 100% book here again. Loved it.
Wonderful welcome from the delightful Maddie. Our room was very clean, spacious and very well considered with a sea view. Thank you Mike & Lynne.
Nice and very convenient location with parking. 5-10min walk to the beach and 3-5min to high street of ell bars restaurants. Rooms are clean, and tidy, and bedding is clean. The beds are comfortable. View from the rooms is v nice. There is a microwave and cutlery crockery in room. The beach is v nice and we had 1 or 2 good days. We also visited other bear y locations. One was a national park and more Welsh that this old e which was full of Cheshire and Liverpool people etc. There was some guide and basic information on things to do and places to eat in the room. They also send you information prior and actually warn you that it's best to book, but it's doesn't tell you how bad this location is to get food or drink. Tbh the reccomended places are mostly out of town and you need a car. The places in town you need to book 1-4 wk in advance I would say esp over weekend. One restaurant the lobster place you have to booked even longer in advance. I was told by manager some people book12 wk in advance! This was confirmed by people who visit regularly and stay in mobile homes and camping sites etc. The owners are nice and friendly, and sort out any issues and we're welcoming. It's honestly probably the best room and location available in abersoch. There isn't much choice. However, breakfast would be nice given the price and lack of options. Negs: Not the hotels fault but abersoch is tiny and busy on weekends and holidays period. Also it's a place not caught up with modern society. Places book up wheels in advance, it's almost impossible to get a table last minute or even a day or two notice, to get a table the only place was the Mexicab whose service was amazing as was the food. But you have to book at 530pm by queuing at door to get table for later. The restaurants and pubs nevsd have space or tables. They close early, or they even run out of food and stop servicing. There was a takeaway BBQ and pizza. Problem being they close early 9pm on certain days, and the pizza was joke they don't do takeaway as a takeaway after they have X number of orders in the day they won't do any more orders gof takeaway, you have to eat in and then that's outside and only if you can book a table and you can't because they are book week or more in advance! Tudwals inn was nice a pub and inn, that was friendly and did takeaway if ask nicely. Saved us from a night without food. Breakfast... Well the b&b as expensive as it is does not do breakfast. I never checked but it's clear in their website and they do tell you. So that's fine. Bug really in a place like this they should do it. Getting breakfast was hard too, there was one sandwich shop in the centre at end of rd and a bakery but v basic stuff. There was literally 2 other places to get breakfast a apres by the sea which was nearest but doesn't open until 1030 and then is closed on a Monday randomly and never even said after we sent the day before to ask about breakfast next day. This seems like a decent more budget place. We did manage to get breakfast at a more expensive rate at zinc which was really nice breakfast and service views great but v popular and so get there early esp on Fri or weekends. In short the food and getting any good is a nightmare. All negs are really not in the hotel. The town isn't really geared up for modern day and tourists in numbers. It is ok if you have food and a camper van etc and staying nearby and only go for the off night out and book well in advance. Wales is expensive especially abersoch budget about £500-700 pn per person to eat drink and go see stuff. That will also be minimal stuff. If you go on a sunny day or weekend it'll be nice and I reccomend staying here if you can afford the c£170 pn fee. It's ok for more local people. We won't be rushing back to Wales. We liked it but it's expensive for what if is. Might just stick to going abroad for the money we spent, or if we go do a day trip next time or go camping.
