We had a Sunday roast today, which I can honestly say was the best I’ve ever had - anywhere! I shared a lamb shoulder with my son, which I carved at the table, and was cooked to perfection. My husband had roast pork. Each meal had a generous selection of fresh vegetables, cooked perfectly, proper good roast potatoes, and big Yorkshire puddings and ample gravy. Desserts were excellent too. I’ve read a few comments about long waits, which we weren’t aware of on our visit, but do you know what, don’t watch the clock, sit back and enjoy a lovely, newly refurbished pub, an excellent range of beers and ales, and a cheerful team tending your needs. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a dinner at the newly refurbished Eight Bells in Bolney. We were greeted by friendly helpful and very attentive staff, we enjoyed a three course meal from the new menu, which contained something to please taste. A bottle from the wine list, and a beer from the bar. So lovely to have this our local pub back open in the village. If you had ever been before its well worth a return visit under its new ownership.

This is a lovely pub with good food and lovely staff HOWEVER.....please consider puting handrails at the side of the few very steep steps from.car park into outdoor seating area. This has seriously caused me to feel embarrassed trying to go up and down these steps, clutching on to branches of bushes and wooden panels..not because iv have had a drop too many! but because of knee and sight problems . PLEASE think about this access....and the slope from upper open area to lower outside area...again a handrail would be so helpful. Have been here a few times but the anticipation of looking really stupid in front of other patrons ..thanks.
