The Elegant Hotel

I recently stayed at The Elegant Hotel in the Eyup Sultan area, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is excellent—situated adjacent to a lively high street with plenty of shops selling local items at reasonable prices. It’s also just a 5-minute walk to the Shrine of Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari (RA), making it a great choice for visitors looking to explore religious and cultural sites. Transportation was convenient, with taxis available on meter or via Uber. I stayed in a Double Deluxe Room, which was spacious, well-equipped, and had a nice balcony. The room was offered at a reasonable rate, providing good value for money. The breakfast was served on a person-to-person basis (not buffet), but the quality was good and satisfying. However, there were a few minor drawbacks: - The hotel lift was out of order during my stay, and the staff mentioned it would take about 3 weeks to repair. This could be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. - The balcony curtain was shorter than needed, though it didn’t affect me much. Despite these small issues, I would recommend The Elegant Hotel for its prime location, comfortable rooms, and good service. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for affordability and convenience in Istanbul.

I rented a room and my friend joined me a little while later in the afternoon and I quickly got an aggressive knock at my door. The hotel staff told us we need to produce a marriage certificate or my friend would have to leave. He explained that even if you are engaged you are not allowed to stay at this hotel with your partner He explained that he will not even rent separate rooms to two people of the opposite sex who come in togather. He would not leave and would not even let my female friend stand in the doorway as I packed. It felt horrible. If you go with a friend of the opposite sex you will have a very uncomfortable experience. He refused to give me any refund even though I had checked in an hour prior and had not used the room yet. He claimed it was because he “had already made the sale “ He claimed the marriage policy is on the website but I could not find it. Such a horrible experience

this is not a good hotel. you book then they suddenly cancel your booking for no reason this is a bad manner , after canceling they raise the price , keep it for your self
