The Elgin Mount Pandim A Heritage Resort & Spa

This is a beautiful property which made me fall in love with Pelling. The staff here treated us with utmost courtesy. I have gluten and dairy allergies. The kitchen and front house team ensured that I had a variety of food to eat despite allergies. Chef Neelu went above and beyond to serve me local delicacies and even desserts that suited my needs. The property is spread across a large area and is well maintained. There are many places to even sit outdoors to enjoy the weather. On a good day, one can even see the Kanchenjunga peak from here. Overall, highly recommended to go here even without any agenda!

Quite an experiential stay. It's a well maintained heritage property, great staff, lip-smacking food, awesome view, completely serene. Away from the city buzz so, you need to have proper arrangements for commuting. Though the property is very well maintained, rooms can be more comforting for guests especially family with kids. Features that can be improved are bathroom facilities, a bit more of insects control. I stayed on ground floor with family. Solo or couple guests staying at upper floors may have different experience. Also, note that property is G+2 but no lift facility while the stairs are quite expansive and not too steep but people with mobility difficulties may find it challenging.

A very nice property. A bit expensive but worth it. Staff were very polite and helpful. It is a heritage property and well preserved. Bar is adequately stocked but surprisingly though mentioned in menu white wine per glass but they do not serve by glass only by bottles. Housekeeping definitely needs attention as found a big spider on bed. The bathroom also had a dead spider and wall full of insects. One of the bathroom window have rotten wood. The washroom mirror is tarnished This I do not expect from a high end hotel especially belonging to one of the famous hotelier family. I was frankly disappointed. The food taste was average. The buffet menu resembles to one of those mediocre run of the mill wedding menus. Chef needs to pay attention to food choice and taste. I informed at front office about insects and related housekeeping issues but nothing was actioned. We had taken the most high end accommodation, cottage with a view, it is quite a distance away and very steep incline to main building. I wonder why a golf cart is not provided for guests especially senior citizens. Neither it is mentioned anywhere about this steep hike to main building. Be prepared for a strenuous walk if you opt for cottage. Definitely not for Sr.Citizens.
