It’s disappointing that a hotel of this caliber overlooked such a crucial detail. While the property itself is stunning, the lack of conveniently located restrooms is a major inconvenience. If you’re enjoying the rooftop bar or cigar lounge, you’ll have to go all the way down to the lobby just to use the facilities. Even then, the only nearby option consists of just two shared toilets for both men and women. For a hotel that has clearly invested so much in its design and amenities, this oversight feels like a significant flaw in guest experience.
I arrived late and was given a suite on the first floor instead of the higher floor I had booked. They told me to wait until the next day to resolve the issue. The front desk staff member, named Hermes, was completely unhelpful and refused to let me speak to the manager or anyone else. It’s disappointing that such a beautiful hotel has such poor service. Updates on the third day of my stay😔 Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, I was placed in a room that did not match my request, and then they tried to force me to move to a lower-quality room after I had already settled in. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and definitely not what I would expect from a five-star hotel.” I will never stay in this hotel again.. He ruined my vacation.😓🤕 Three days before my departure, Mr. Josh contacted me to ask what had happened, why, and how he could help. I told him everything had already been resolved. He was very cooperative, and we appreciated his efforts. He also apologized for being on vacation at the time.
I recently stayed at The Emory and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the reception was cold, unwelcoming, and completely lacking the level of professionalism you would expect from a hotel that positions itself as luxury. The most shocking part of my stay was when the staff attempted to move me away from my kids mid-stay—something I’ve never encountered before at any hotel. When I raised concerns and asked to speak with a manager, I was outright told no. No explanation, no apology, no manager. The service throughout my stay was consistently poor. There was no on-site concierge, and I was told I had to walk to another hotel entirely if I wanted help with basic services like booking a car or asking about local dining. That’s absurd for a hotel in this category. Overall, this felt more like staying at a budget property masquerading as a high-end hotel. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and completely let down. I would not recommend The Emory to anyone—especially not families or travelers expecting even basic hospitality standards.
