The hotel is modern, with a very clean and spacious room. I booked the Float king bed room as dark rooms show less of the dirt/imperfections (compared to the white rooms) and is easier to fall asleep in. They provide L'Occitane toiletries and an open bar with beer that gets replenished daily. There was a bit of construction during my stay that went into the evening, but wasn't too bothersome for me. The room I was assigned was 3026, which is further away from the elevator and faces the exterior wall, as opposed to the lobby area. The location is a bit hard for taxi drivers to find as it's located inside the pedestrian streets, especially at night. I had to create a YouTube video on how to find the hotel to help others find this place. Once you do find it, it's in a very quiet area close to restaurants. shopping, and within walking distance to Qianmen station and local attractions. The staff is very helpful. Aside from the ones that work at the front desk, keep in mind that not everyone speaks English. It's also important to note that you are in their country and that your standards of customer service is different from their culture. Overall, I would stay again at this hotel.
Great value for money This hotel has an excellent location and great stuff, especially their hotel manager, Michael. Hotel is located in pedestrian zone and it is very close to the metro station, Tianmen Square and the Forbidden City. Rooms and toilets are clean and well equipped. They even have a free mini-bar. On the hotel roof there are a pool and a bar with an amazing view on downtown. We will come back for sure!
Certainly not a "4 star hotel". Firstly, they have rooms on the ground floor and no security swipe on the main entrance meaning anyone can walk in off the street. Secondly, English is rarely understood and ordering room service felt like it was a training exercise where I walked down from my room and guided them what I wanted from their own menu. Thirdly, the rooms are either damaged, dirty, or have a sewerage scent going through them. (Or all in one) Finally, I could hear works outside of my room from 1am to sunrise. Save yourself the pain and don't come here.
