Spent a fantastic week at The Esplanade Hotel. The room was amazing, with a balcony overlooking Fistral beach. From the reception team to Housekeeping, every member of staff were wonderful. Coming back each day to a clean/ tidy room, bed made and everything topped up just as it was the day we arrived. The restaurant was run perfectly, once again with a great view looking over the beach. We only had breakfast but so much to choose from, good quality and very well presented. We had a few drinks in the cocktail bar, a very relaxed atmosphere with fab staff. Yes, the parking outside was sometimes a bit difficult to find a space but apart from that i cannot fault this place. Our whole experience was superb and we will definitely be back 😊
Great staff, great location and great rooms. Me and my wife stayed here for a break to celebrate our anniversary. The location looks out to fistral beach and it’s great to fall asleep, hearing the ocean and with the waves crashing into the beach. Really serene and peaceful. The hotel was great, breakfast had a variety of options, the rooms were clean with lots of amenities available. The hotel has a pool, jacuzzi and sauna which is great value for money. The staff was responsive and courteous. As someone who has always travelled abroad for mini breaks, the esplanade have changed my outlook on staycations. I think Newquay and this hotel might become something I return to regularly.
Reading through some of the previous reviews has shocked me, some very pretentious guests you’ve had. We haven’t got a major bad word to say about this hotel, from a young couple with an 18 month old. Brilliant for children with an indoor pool, indoor cinema, soft play and a playground outside. The room was spacious enough with a balcony and the hotel was well organised and clean. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner. There’s a star knocked off for two reasons - one being, the lift was broke. Thankfully we were on the first floor but we had a LOT of luggage including a travel cot, suitcase, big bag, rucksacks, mattress for cot etc so this could have been a major inconvenience if we were any higher, all whilst trying to get a toddler up the stairs. The second reason is the parking situation, we were very lucky to end up getting a spot outside the hotel but again, if we hadn’t, carrying all of that would’ve been a task. The location is stunning & the town centre is maybe a 10-15 min walk. Lovely robes and slippers provided. Would definitely recommend.
