The Excelsior a Luxury Collection Hotel Florence

We had a phenomenal experience in this hotel. It essentially located, an easy walk to many most important sites in Florence. The hotel itself is almost like a museum, filled with antique furniture and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The staff are all very friendly, I highly recommend staying here.

In July, I had the chance to stay at the newly rebranded Excelsior Luxury Collection Hotel in Florence, and it was a wonderful experience. The property has been tastefully refreshed, from the guest rooms to the new and elegant lobby and restaurants. From arrival, the high level of service and hospitality really stood out. Thanks to Ilatia for the warm welcome, despite my late evening arrival. Bonvoy elite status recognition was excellent, and I was accommodated with a room on the top floor that featured a stunning terrace and panoramic views of Florence. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the remarkable city.

The highlight is definitely the location, if you’re fortunate enough to get a room facing the river, the view is stunning. The newly renovated lobby area is aesthetically beautiful. The concierge team delivers excellent service; everyone I interacted with was kind, attentive, and eager to help. Unfortunately, the rooms feel quite dated. There were visible stains on the walls, and the shower head was positioned unusually low, which made it uncomfortable to use. While some staff members were outstanding, the overall service was inconsistent. One front desk staff member (a lady wearing pink glasses) displayed condescending attitudes. Service at breakfast was slow; you had to wait a long time just to receive the menu. There is definitely room for improvement.
