We had an amazing two night stay at the Falkland arms where the staff was welcoming and attentive. The included breakfast was delicious with hot and cold options to order, all served downstairs in the charming, cozy pub dining room. We also enjoyed dinner and drinks in the pub. Our meals were so delicious and filling and the beer on tap is local and refreshing. We would absolutely visit again. We loved staying in Great Tew as well. It was very quiet compared to some of the other villages we visited while in the Cotswolds.
Truly wonderful! First went to the Falkland Arms about 30 years ago, then went about 20 years ago and went back yesterday. It has barely changed, which is great. It is a truly wonderful, authentic place. The service and food was fantastic, with great traditional/local beers. It feels like a wonderful step back in time when you wonder in and the location in Great Tew is quintessential England at its best. Thoroughly recommend it. (FYI. This was just a trip for lunch, but the Google review needed me to rate rooms too which I haven't seen/can't comment on).
Loved this pub. We were told to book a table to eat, but forgot. Luckily for us, there were 2 tables still available. Very friendly staff and quick service. We had a drink and lunch and it was excellent and good value. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.
