The Fawley

I've just got home from a week's stay with my family at The Havelock and I have to say this hotel made our holiday really special. We're regular visitors to the IOW and usually self-cater but due to sharing our holiday this year with extended family we thought we would book a hotel... and we are so glad we chose the Havelock. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owners, Paul and Vicky. Paul helped my Mother in Law upstairs with her case while Vicky did the introductions to the hotel and showed us to our rooms. Throughout our stay P & V were always to hand when we needed anything and they would be working in the bar most evenings. Rooms - The rooms were clean, spacious and recently decorated. The ensuite was modern and stylish with a decent shower. The maid cleaned the room daily and replenished towels etc... Breakfast - A great choice of breakfast, whether you just want a bowl of cereal to a Full English, with pretty much everything in between. The Lounge - The Lounge was the heart of the hotel. Welcoming and comfortable, the highlight for me was watching the Lioness's win the Euros in that very lounge, complete with patriotic bunting. There was a fantastic selection of drinks and I was especially impressed when a drink I requested wasn't stocked but they got it in especially the next day. The pool - I wasn't sure if I was going to use the pool when we made our booking but with a youngish family it really did enhance our stay. It was certainly a great way to fill the time in between returning from the beach/exploring the island and heading out for an evening meal. Overall, Havelock was a fantastic place to spend our holiday. Paul and Vicky really know how to run a hotel and work very hard so we could relax. I will definitely be going back.

This was our first visit to the Havelock hotel, and by no means our last. The Hotel was Spotless throughout! The rooms were beautifully laid out, nice and bright and modern and spacious. The communal areas were very comfortable and welcoming. Unfortunately we never got to try out the pool but it looked fantastic! The breakfast and facilities were top class and was excellent valuefor money , with all locally sourced produce. It also has a lovely well stocked cosy little bar to enjoy a drink & chat. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Paul & Vicky we absolutely fantastic hosts! We felt like we had known them for years, they both made us feel so very welcome. We are already planning our return visit for next year or maybe sooner, and will definitely be referring to friends and family. Thank you both so much for making our stay so special. Our 3rd consecutive year staying at the Havelock, Paul, Vicky and their team are warm friendly and welcoming, absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them, the Hotel is spotlessly clean top to bottom and breakfast choice and presentation is superb, the hotel has safe parking and is positioned only a few minutes walk to the sea front, old village and Regent Street. Paul and Vicky are doing a fantastic job since taking over continuously improving year on year, we have booked for summer 2025 already and very much looking forward to see what else they will have done, although it is hard to improve on the very high standard that it already is! Great couple, great job!
