Our recent stay at Bamora fort was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was superb, making us feel genuinely welcome. The location was perfect, which offered stunning view and easy access to everything .The staff provided impeccable service, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. And the food was delicious, simple and tasty. The swimming pool and the fort was one of the main attraction of this place, since one can see the view of whole fort from there. One more thing, I would like to add was that, we forgot our belonging at the hotel, and the staff co-operated and was very kind to courier it to our home. This type of hospitality is highly appreciated. We had a wonderful stay at Bamora and would like to come in future again with our family friends.

Stayed for just one night, but the experience felt like a serene escape into history. The resort beautifully blends heritage charm with modern comfort. The view was breathtaking, the service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make the stay feel special — so warm and genuinely sweet. Every corner of the property carries a quiet elegance that makes you slow down and soak it all in. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, heritage-rich getaway — especially for a special occasion. 💛

Great stay for a peaceful break, but dining needs serious improvement Review: We stayed at Fern Bambora for a weekend trip from Ahmedabad with my wife, daughter, and pet cat. One of the few pet-friendly resorts near Udaipur (they charge ₹1000+ taxes for pets), the stay had its moments — but several areas fell short, especially food and location. --- ✅ Check-in & First Impressions Reached around 2 PM after a long drive. The last 1.5–2 hours is through narrow village roads with poor surface quality — not ideal for early morning or late-night travel. If you're coming from Ahmedabad, be prepared: highway is smooth, but final stretch is rough. The check-in was smooth. Welcomed with flower petals, tikka, lime water, and music — a warm start. Security staff helped with luggage. Very professional. --- 🛏️ Room Experience We booked a Winter Green Premium Room — clean, well-designed, and surprisingly high quality. Smart TV, remote-controlled fan, solid AC — no complaints. Rooms were better than many well-known chains. View was slightly blocked by netting but still pleasant. --- 🍽️ Dining Experience – The Weakest Link We had opted for all meals. The first lunch was à la carte and actually enjoyable — fresh fulkas, paneer bhurji, eggs on request. The restaurant manager was responsive and helpful. But things went downhill at dinner and breakfast. Buffet meals were entirely vegetarian — clearly designed around a large group staying at the time. While we understand catering to guest needs, it felt like the menu was adjusted solely for one type of preference, without offering balance or basic variety to others. As a health-conscious family who values protein in every meal, this was disappointing. After raising feedback, they arranged a non-veg dish — but it was poorly done (oily, small portion, and over-spiced). Breakfast was again limited: poha, chole bhature, idli, cereals, fruits, muffins — but no eggs, no lean protein, no non-veg. We had paid for full meals, yet skipped Sunday dinner and Monday breakfast entirely. That says enough. Hotels can’t function like exclusive kitchens for select groups — a basic counter with clean, balanced food options for all guests should be standard. --- 🎯 Facilities & Activities Indoor games (badminton, chess, archery) were a nice surprise — our daughter had fun. Pottery and horse rides added charm. Pool was clean but slightly under-maintained due to outdoor exposure. Changing area was clean and usable. Pool is a 5-min uphill walk from the rooms. --- 📍 Location & Accessibility Important: This is not in Udaipur, but Bambora — an isolated location. Absolutely nothing nearby — no shops, restaurants, or walking areas. Udaipur city is 1.5–2 hours away. If sightseeing is your goal, this is not the best base. It’s more suitable for guests who want to stay entirely within the resort and disconnect. --- 🤝 Staff & Service Staff were polite, professional, and responsive throughout. No complaints here. --- ⚖️ Final Thoughts: Rooms – excellent. Staff – professional. Pet-friendly – appreciated. But food service was disappointing and restrictive, and location is too remote for exploring Udaipur. Verdict: Best for a one-night peaceful escape. Not ideal for food lovers, city explorers, or families seeking variety.
