The Firs

Our stay here was nothing short of fantastic. The bungalow is very conveniently located, just minutes away from Lake Gregory with wonderful views of the plantations. The staff were extremely attentive and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was probably the best service I’ve experienced in the country. The food was excellent and on par with (probably even better than) most 5* hotels I’ve visited here). Would highly recommend!

Absolute delight staying here. Old English type bungalow, but beautifully maintained, four poster beds, modernised good bathrooms. The entire house was kept in great condition, comfortable warm, complete old world charm. The staff are excellent, so attentive and helpful. A special shout out to Yadatheeban who saw to every request promptly and with a smile. The food was delicious, their breakfast was amazing, we have never eaten so much! Fairly close to town (about 3km). The view from the bungalow is brilliant with Lake Gregory in the backdrop. A lovely garden to relax in. All in all a great place for a holiday in the hills! Totally recommend staying here!

Our stay at the Firs was wonderful. The staff and manager were friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The food was good overall; while the Western options were average, the Sri Lankan options were fantastic and very delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, decorated to make you feel like you're living in an old English mansion. The location is excellent, very close to Nuwara Eliya town, which made traveling and sightseeing very easy for us. Highly recommend staying here!
