The First Islatel

We've been using this hotel facility for our Annual Stockholders Meeting 2 years in a row and they always deliver great results. This year they added meeting rooms on the ground floor, perfect for small meetings. The main function room on the ground floor is just awesome, perfect for weddings or big gatherings. Conveniently located along main road to Lucap. Parking is available but could get tricky during peak hours. Thus place is a great addition to the growing hotel industry in Alaminos.

I recently stayed at this establishment and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, the bathroom in our room had a strong, unpleasant odor—resembling uncleaned sewage. To make matters worse, we discovered a baby cockroach on our breakfast eggs, which was incredibly off-putting.( The staff took a picture) During checkout, we were suddenly told we were being charged 10,000 pesos for allegedly violating their smoking policy. However, once we brought up the cockroach incident, they quickly decided to waive the fee, which felt quite suspicious and unprofessional. Additionally, I accidentally left behind a pair of Gucci prescription glasses in the room. Despite contacting the hotel twice after they failed to follow up as promised, I was told they couldn’t find them—leaving me very disappointed in how lost items are handled. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Between the cleanliness issues, questionable policies, and lack of accountability, the experience was very underwhelming.

• The rooms are not properly cleaned upon arrival – incomplete towels, water and other amenities. Even the common areas are dirty. • Not a lot of breakfast options, always the same menu. The utensils are not properly cleaned as well. • Hotel keycard always has a problem – like everyday during our 4 days 3 nights stay it does not work. • The noise from the outside can be heard inside the room; thin walls I guess? • The housekeeping staff do not clean the room at all – they wait for their guest to request to clean your room before doing so. • They supposedly provide free shuttle ride but always LATE that it would affect your schedule/itinerary. • The place has only been operating for less than 3 years but it looks worn off already – they need better hotel management and maintenance.
