Great nice stay at The George. Lovely room after a long day's hiking. Had a warm welcome from Wayne and really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning 😁
Not a pleasant experience. Generally grubby and needs some maintenance. Very noisy with music from the bar. Breakfast was really basic and uninviting. Dirty kitchen and dining area. Would not go back.
Just had a £15 Sunday Carvery. I'll start with the positives. The meat, yorkshires and gravy were lovely. However, the veggies were raw, and you needed a steak knife to cut through them as well as a good set of teeth. The roasties tasted old, like they'd been reheated from another day. For that price I expected a whole lot better.
