Stayed at the hotel for a night, lovely hotel. All of the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, really felt nothing was too much trouble. Dinner (and breakfast) was amazing, very talented kitchen. Looking forward to returning.
Lovely location, picturesque little village with an awesome estate near by. Lots of history here and lots to see around the area, great location for taking trips etc. Nice bar, great food, we didnt eat in the restaurant on out visit.
This was a restaurant visit only. Good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Had the three course set menu. Excellent value at£30. Starters of prawns on toast was well cooked. Crisp toast and juicy prawns with sour cream. Mains of duck breast with celeriac. Very good, but skin could have done with a little more grilling. Desserts of clementine meringue and the vanilla caramel were delicious. Overall really good cooking and excellent value. Highly recommended, which I don't say very often.
