We had a really enjoyable experience and time at the Five Bells Inn. The Ortega room we stayed in was wonderfully presented and extremely cozy, clean and tidy. Amazing bathtub! The quality of bedding is outstanding which will ensure a very good night's sleep indeed. There are very good quality bath/soap products to use also. Some of the floorboards creek, so be warned, but we loved it as it adds to the character of this centuries old building. The gardens are superbly kept and are a wonderful spot to enjoy your drink and food. The food we had for lunch and dinner was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was our absolute highlight, and really was superb. All drinks and food are reasonably priced and good quality. All staff are polite and laid back, so don't be in too much of a rush in expecting your drinks. A wonderful village setting surrounded by 3 vineyards. Would definitely return.

Can’t rate this place highly enough. The room we stayed in was amazing with high end toiletries, fluffy towels and port and fudge for us to enjoy. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Delicious. The chicken starter was wonderful, and the scrambled eggs at breakfast gorgeous! The garden and bar was so relaxing to enjoy with drinks. A lovely 9km country walk with map from the pub from outside the door. Staff were amazing. Couldn’t do enough to help and really made the stay lovely. Loved everything.

Me and my two sisters had a lovely lunch here. The food was exquisite with generous portion sizes and gorgeous views. The service was attentive and the ambience in the pub quaint and homely with a roaring fire (which was needed that day in chilly early May). Comfortable seating and great music. I would highly recommend this place and we will return some day soon.
