The Flodigarry Hotel

I had taken my best friend on a surprise road trip from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye and this hotel was an amazing find ! We had a beautifully calm and peaceful stay at the Flodigarry Hotel. The atmosphere was still and serene—just what we needed. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my friend’s dietary needs, preparing delicious vegetarian meals completely free of eggs. They even arranged an eggless cake, which was lovely. We had breakfast and dinner both the days we stayed there and it was outstanding especially the dinners ! Our room was charming and comfortable—perfect for two. The only drawback was the low bathroom ceiling, which meant I had to sit to shower (something to be aware of if you’re tall or broad-shouldered). I had booked the cottage. Still, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. A memorable stay in a breathtaking setting with truly caring hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re looking for quiet luxury and personalised attention.

This is a review of the restaurant: We were absolutely delighted with their seafood board--anchovies, herring with roe, two salmons, mussels, and more! We also had a delicious apple and celeriac soup. And the view! It is some work to get to this hotel, but, oh my, is it worth it! The service was very, very good. This is the sister hotel to the Cuillin Hills Hotel: make sure to enjoy both when you are on Skye.

Location is superb. Room 21 cottage. With garden in front. Stone path to main inn. Views. Staff is friendly professional. Leon front desk is friendly knowledgeable always willing to lend advice or a helping hand with bags. Even when we lock ourselves out but actually we just forgot how to use the room card. I know right. Breakfast is excellent. From Scottish to fruit and yogurt. Made on order. Bartender excellent. Try a hot toddy. This is a must stop even just for a dinner. Views alone worth it.
