The Florentine

Wow. We stayed as we had tickets to see Gladiators at the Sheffield Arena and its only short drive away. Perfect alternative to the large chain hotels nearer and even a bit cheaper. Had the added bonus of a great bar and restaurant which we used during our stay. Bar staff were brilliant even though we stopped a bit later for a few more drinks before bed. Room was absolutely huge!! King size double bed' very clean and tidy. Loved the touch of a small speaker playing some music on entry. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Would not hesitate to book again and recommend to others. Keep up the great work.

Had an amazing family Sunday meal - food was excellent throughout and presented with pride and great care. The welcome from everyone throughout the meal was brilliant - truly friendly and genuinely felt everyone was proud of what they were doing. Noticed all the other staff who appeared with food or to take orders at other tables were similarly engaging and friendly. Highly recommended - there’s a great shaded terrace of tables too, if you want to eat outside. Would recommend booking as it would be very popular all year round.

Visited this pub restaurant on the off chance and was greeted by lovely members of staff who were warm & welcoming. I asked about needing a table to do some work & opted to sit in the restaurant as the food menu looked decent. I was given a nice table in a remote spot which gave me privacy to do my work and actually enjoy my lunch. The fish & chips was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best I’ve had in ages. The chocolate brownie sundae was delicious too. I’d like to say a big thank you to James as he made sure I was comfortable & enjoying my visit. I was not pressured to order multiple drinks and they were accommodating when I did want anything further. The staff are highly trained & have exceptional hospitality skills. I will be visiting again soon. Also lovely interior and exterior with a lovely natural garden back drop, ample car parking space.
