The Flying Horse Inn

Had a really lovely stay at the New Flying Horse last night! Wye is a beautiful village with some stunning nature reserves that I simply had to visit before heading back down to the inn! I had a gorgeous steak burger with salad and chips to start off my stay! For the first time ever staying somewhere overnight, the staff offered me milk of my choice before I even stepped into my room! This is a huge first for me! The fact that the staff had Soya Milk made all the difference to my visit! Had a tasty Full Wye Breakfast before leaving, which was top notch! Staff are really polite and friendly, the pub and my room were in exceptional condition, and overall I had an extremely pleasant stay! If anyone wants to stay overnight in Wye, The New Flying Horse comes highly recommended!

We just loved it here. Our experience from start to finish was exceptional. The best team of staff I’ve sent for ages. Everyone was brilliant and charming. Rooms were perfect, really well thought out with lovely little touches like fresh milk, tea cakes, magazines etc. Dinner and breakfast were superb. Amazing to have every single wine available by the glass - perfect for me as my other half doesn’t drink. We booked as we were at an event nearby but will return to this beautiful place as a destination in its own right!! Amazing ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were visiting Ashford from Ireland and happened upon The New Flying Horse—and oh sweet spuds, did we strike gold! From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff treated us like long-lost cousins back for a pint and a catch-up. Friendly, funny, and flawlessly professional. Now, as a lactose-intolerant pizza lover, I’m usually bracing for disappointment. Not here. When I asked for mine without cheese, they didn’t bat an eye—they pointed me toward a vegan option so luscious it could serenade your taste buds. Rich tomato base, crisp crust, and toppings so fresh you’d think they were grown out back. It was honestly the best pizza I’ve had in years. We tucked into our food in their glorious beer garden—a place where everyone knows everyone, but somehow newcomers like us felt instantly part of the family. Laughter echoed, pints flowed, and we left with full hearts and fuller bellies. If you’re in Ashford and looking for food, flair, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to hug the chef, The New Flying Horse is your spot. Sláinte to the staff—we’ll be back!
