The Fountain Inn

Fabulous hotel ideally situated ! Everything you need iron and ironing board tea and coffee with biscuits ! Nice comfy bed lovely clean room they don't do breakfast but its so we'll placed there's lots of places to have food around!! Parking is on the street as there's only two spaces at the hotel. We managed to find a space ok but if we hadn't then that could have been a problem. We loved it here !

Great free house pub with unbelievable selection of beers. The cellar is obviously well looked after. Top notch polite staff. We stayed one night as there were a couple of walks we wanted to do this side of the Peak District. Room was absolutely faultless. Ps the coffee bags in the room were a nice touch. A business obviously well run.

Only had the pleasure of staying one night, but if we were to come to the area again, would not hesitate to stay here. Had a few conversations via email before we arrived as we were attending a wedding and we asked if it was possible to get in room earlier than 2.00pm. They responded that this was not possible, however we would be able to leave our luggage and they would take to room when ready. This was fine by us, however, when we arrived (very early - before 11.00) they went over and above board to get us a parking space first of all and then advised us that our room was just being completed and we were able to freshen up all in good time. This was a massive bonus after a fairly long journey. The room was delightful, very clean with everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. We weren’t in it long before we had to leave for the wedding, but later that evening we returned for a quick drink in the bar before heading back to our room. The pub itself is very inviting with warm and friendly staff and we wish we had the time to have stayed longer and sample everything on offer. We would like to say a massive thank you to Guy and your team who went over and above board for us.
