The Four Horseshoes

My partner and me visited the Four Horseshoes with four friends and our pooch Louie. The pub is very, very dog friendly. We were staying locally at a cottage, and this pub/ restaurant was recommended as a good place to eat. And we weren't disappointed. It was a fairly busy Saturday afternoon once we got inside. A very traditional country pub with traditional decor. Very quaint. The staff gave us a very warm welcome, and we were given a table which sat us all comfortably. There's plenty of tables and seating, and all very well spaced despite the amount of covers this pub can accommodate. We chose different things from a very well thought out menu... all was delicious and we were served without any delay considering the place was a little busy. Even Louie had a starter, main and dessert, all on one plate.! 😋 He was most impressed by his waitress... Auntie T.... In all, the Four Horseshoes matched our expectations and we'd recommend it as a great place to refuel and while away some time, if you're in the EYe area. The pricing is fair and the were brilliant. We'll be back as soon as we get down again from Liverpool to visit our friends in the area.

A pretty local pub with garden we had not found before. Last minute walk in with 4 was accommodated despite busy time and an excellent meal was had by all. The only complaint was from one of our party who found the serving too large but excellent quality. Service was super and friendly.

My wife booked a table for my birthday. The service from the staff was fantastic, very attentive without being over the top. My wife has a food allergy, the staff went out of their way to ensure the food she received was suitable for her dietary needs. The food was delicious. The pub was dog friendly. 10/10.
