Linda and Team were excellent in helping us coordinate a wedding block for our guests. We stayed here as well and Linda was able to assist us in securing a discounted suite for our special day. All guests seemed to have a great time!
Spent one night in a Producers Suite on the 28th floor and couldn’t wait to leave. Room had an overwhelming smell of stinky feet and the carpet was disgusting. Our view was ruined by a large picture window whose seal was obviously broken because it was covered in condensation. The mattress was terrible, numb hips if you lay on your side for too long. But here’s the worst part, at 11 Am on Sunday morning the room shook with loud, booming noise from the outside pool, their ‘Sunday Pool Party’ is overrun with people NOT STAYING AT FOXWOODS but who bought tickets. We went down to use the pool AND WERE DENIED ENTRY-EVEN THOUGH WE WERE PAYING GUESTS!!!!! NEVER EVER should this happen, paying guests should ALWAYS have priority to resort facilities. It’s reasons like these that Foxwoods WILL NEVER be as good as going to Vegas or Atlantic City. Oh, and we ordered room service for breakfast ($85 for 2 people)and it was delivered in a paper bag with plastic utensils and everything in plastic and paper. The good days of enjoying a fine experience at a resort casino are DEAD and Foxwoods is leading the way. Shame on them.
My husband and I stayed at the Fox Tower for one night last week as we do at least once every year with friends. The rooms are decently spacious and the rest rooms are updated and very nice. We ended up with a corner room on the 19th floor, which was unique because we had windows in the bathroom. The room was clean and included bottled water, shampoo, etc. However, because of the weird corner space the TV was in the middle of the room and we found it awkward and in the way--had to navigate around it in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom. We almost always stay at Fox Tower because we come in the summer and there is a huge outdoor pool as an amenity for guests of the Tower. It's also usually less expensive than the other two hotels at Foxwoods. However, its location is terribly inconvenient if you want to go to all of the restaurants and shops in the more popular area so it's a hike to get to those. We love the Scorpion Bar and always eat there when we visit. Also, the casino section in the Fox Tower is very empty and since we visit midweek it's incredibly hard to get seated at a blackjack table. We were there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 tables that we had to stalk until an opening was available (there were 3 of us who wanted to play). We had played a bit on the other side of the property after dinner at Scorpion Bar and it was much easier on that side. We finished our evening on the Fox Tower casino side after trying to sit at a table together. I personally was done gambling at 10pm and would have loved a dessert or snack, but unfortunately there is NOTHING open at 10pm on a weeknight on this side of the property. I mean, not even a vending machine. I went up to the room aggravated. I didn't want to hike the 1/2 mile back to the other side where all the shops are. The Tanger Outlets are like a ghost town and quite frankly it's depressing. I much prefer Mohegan Sun because of its layout and centrality of everything. There's a huge bar in the middle of the main concourse and the restaurants ring around that area. Mohegan is definitely more expensive, but at this point it's where we'll be going. The major reason I'm writing this review is because of an incident that occurred while we stayed. Our friends, who had their own room on a different floor, accidentally left the wife's wedding band and wrap on the night stand next to the bed. As soon as we were on the ferry the wife realized exactly what she had done and phoned Fox Tower. There is NO way the room had been made up (we left way before check out time and were on the 10am ferry to Long Island). She first left a message because no one picked up. Then she got a hold of a manager who said he would have someone check. He never returned her call. She repetitively called and finally someone contacted her to say nothing was found in the room. COMPLETE LIE...she knew EXACTLY where she left the rings. This hotel stole her wedding bands!!! So for this reason I will never come back to this resort and I recommend that anyone booked here leave their valuables at home. Disgusting.
