We had a really wonderful meal, everything was delicious and to be able to have a gluten free pudding that was much more exciting than just a sorbet was a bonus! The service was relaxed and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon.

The Fox, Winchester. I recently went for a late lunch at The Fox in Crawley after it was recommended to me, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. Nestled in a picturesque village complete with a traditional pond, the setting is as charming as it gets — the kind of place that immediately puts you at ease. The pub itself strikes a perfect balance: classy and stylish without ever feeling stuffy. It has more of a restaurant vibe with a warm pub feel, and that combination really works. You can tell they focus on what they’re good at — great food and genuine hospitality. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. All in all, The Fox is a great spot I’ll definitely be returning to. Whether you’re local or just passing through, it’s well worth a visit. A real gem!

Came here for my wife's birthday lunch. One of the very best roasts we have both had. Portions were large and extremely well priced. Staff were extremely happy to help and very attentive. Haven't rated the rooms as we didn't stay. Was quite busy so please make sure that you book a table. Please note there is limited parking and the car park is extremely tight. On the whole utterly fantastic venue, great food and lovely staff. We will definitely back!
