The Frederick Hotel

I recently stayed at The Frederick Hotel in Tribeca, and honestly… I couldn’t have picked a better spot for a few days in Manhattan. From the moment you walk in, there’s a sense of quiet charm — the hotel is one of the oldest in the city (dating back to 1845!), and yet everything feels fresh, intimate, and thoughtfully designed. The interiors have that perfect blend of old soul and modern comfort — warm lighting, vintage details, and a peaceful lobby that feels like a true hideaway from the NYC buzz. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. You’re steps away from the Chambers Street subway, and just a short walk from One World Trade Center and the Financial District. Whether you’re in town for work or wandering the city, it’s an ideal base. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful during my stay, and although the rooms are small (as is typical in NYC), they’re cozy, clean, and super comfortable. A lovely bonus: they offer a complimentary breakfast just across the street, which makes mornings easy and enjoyable. This hotel really felt like a calm little retreat in the heart of the city — with character, history, and soul. Would absolutely stay again.

The staff was VERY friendly, helpful and nice. The location of the hotel is convenient and is right next to the subway station. Although the room was small, it was cozy and always clean. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. We would love to return to this hotel.

I really loved staying here! The room was small but it felt like a clean sanctuary in the big city. They gave us Prosecco upon arrival and tangerines. The bed was super comfy with blackout curtains I got good sleep. The location was great. Breakfast was tasty. Nice classy but laid back feeling. So my only complaint is I did read we would have a bathtub and mini fridge and we had neither in our Standard room with double bed. That was ok for us but, good to know!
