A Perfect Stay at The Fuzzy Duck, Armscote From start to finish, our stay at The Fuzzy Duck was absolutely perfect. This charming little hotel, tucked away near the beautiful Cotswolds, is a true hidden gem. The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully cooked and full of flavour, making each meal a real highlight of our trip. Our room was equally impressive: the bed was genuinely one of the comfiest I have ever slept in, offering a perfect night’s sleep in peaceful surroundings. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for — friendly, attentive, and professional in every way. If you’re looking for a cosy, luxurious escape with fantastic food and outstanding hospitality, look no further than The Fuzzy Duck. We can’t wait to return!

The Fuzzy Duck - A Mixed Experience of Flavor and Value We recently dined at The Fuzzy Duck for lunch and left with mixed impressions. The food was undeniably tasty. The duck confit boasted rich, well-balanced flavors, and the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection. The chefs clearly have a knack for crafting tasty dishes, which was a highlight of the meal. However, the experience was marred by a few drawbacks. It took 50 minutes for our order to arrive, which tested our patience. Also the value for money was questionable. The rack of lamb portion was surprisingly small—only three tiny pieces for a premium price. Similarly, while the duck confit was flavorful, its portion size left us wanting more. Overall, The Fuzzy Duck is a bit of a mixed bag. If you prioritize taste and don’t mind waiting or paying a premium for smaller portions, you’ll likely enjoy your meal.

Really disappointed with the restaurant. Had driven an hour to get here because of ratings, had asked to be seated at a quieter table as one of our party has sensory issues, was slap bang in the middle. My side plate was dirty with a chunk of dried on food, service was ridiculously slow with dirty plates left for over ten minutes at a time and waiting staff were slow to ask if we wanted further drinks. Food was okay, enjoyed the oysters, but the quack and chips which all 3 of us had was average at best. The room itself was really cold, with several older patrons sat in their coats as they ate. It really wasn't anywhere near as good as I expected, and for the money we paid, I expected a much higher standard. This was a special meal for my mum, feel like I let her down by taking her here as it just wasn't a great experience.
