We stayed 4 days at the Gables of PEI and the location is perfect for my family of 4. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa and it was so easy to get into. We felt it was our own little piece of paradise and it was close to Cavendish, North Rustico and we could get in and out no problem. The island was perfect for a nice vacation, we didn't want to leave and the food was phenomenal! We highly recommend PEI, especially Gables of PEI because of it's location!
This was our second visit to the Gables and we love it! The girls at the front desk are so lovely and we appreciated an early check in as we had 2 infants. Super clean hot tub and more than we needed in the kitchen. Beds are very comfortable and enough room for 2 pack n plays (1 in each room in king villa)
They homes are nice, but I'm giving it the lowest scores possible because of specific other guests. Some of these spots get filled with tons of men that are obnoxious, drunk, and loud all day and night. Parking is next to impossible when there's 5-6 big trucks parked in various positions in the parking areas. Trying to get help from Gables staff is impossible, we were essentially told there is no proof of any wrongdoings so basically you're on your own, despite having picture or video proof. Asking these "gentlemen" to quiet down is met with being told off. Police are too far away and it's not worth their time unless and altercation occurs. I don't know who's in charge of the bookings but these kind of people need to be vented beforehand. "Bro" gatherings/bachelor parties/whatever they're doing, ruin the experience for normal people/families. And this is multiple years in a row. Not going there again.
