The Galleon Inn

Have been here many times over the last few years, food is great, & coffee and drinks are always great. I would recommend coming here if you want decent coffee/drink and lunch with wonderful views over the estuary. Do be aware of the gulls if you sit outside. Love the mural in the hallway from the high street into the pub too!

Regrettably, the fish was not cooked properly as part of my fish & chips meal and was raw on one end. I brought this to the attention of a young staff member, who assured me she would speak with the chef. After approximately 30 minutes had passed with no follow-up, I inquired again. She responded that she had spoken to the chef, and with an apologetic smile, explained that "some fish is like that" and that there was nothing further they could do. After eating here many times over the years regrettably I’ll not eat here again :-(

What horrible staff stood around with the manager. Talking about another member of staff in a derogatory manner. The fact the manager joined in was disturbing. Such a shame as the food and drinks are fantastic the view is incredible. Then to lower the tone by treating staff poorly. This isn't the first time I've visited when the staff have been talking disgustingly about other staff members. Really was turned off to the place by the way staff are treated
