The Garcia Ubud Hotel & Resort

I cannot give enough compliments to this beautiful property! The pictures truly do not do a justice. We stayed in a pool Villa and were both extremely impressed with the room, food options, and impeccable service. Property is about 15/20 minutes outside of Ubud Central, which was a very pleasurable experience since Ubud is so busy. The staff offered impeccable service, when we needed to call the front desk they were always very knowledgeable, very quick to assist us. We went to the spa a few times, beautiful amenities and excellent Massage! We are on our honeymoon, but I would definitely recommend for families also.

Our stay at The Garcia Ubud was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We stayed in a private pool villa, which offered the perfect balance of luxury and privacy – the highlight was definitely the floating breakfast served right in our pool. Such a beautiful and relaxing way to start the day! The yoga sessions were another highlight – held in a peaceful setting with great instructors who created a calm and welcoming atmosphere. As vegetarians, we were especially happy with the food options. The menu offered a wide variety of fresh, flavorful vegetarian dishes, and every meal was beautifully presented and full of taste. If you’re looking for a place in Ubud to relax, recharge, and enjoy both comfort and nature, The Garcia Ubud is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

A Beautiful Stay with Room for Improvement. We recently stayed at The Garcia in Ubud, drawn by its 5-star rating and beautiful setting — and while the experience was overall enjoyable, we believe the hotel could use a bit of extra care to truly meet that 5-star standard. The grounds are stunning, surrounded by lush greenery, and the staff deserve special mention: warm, welcoming, and always going the extra mile to make you feel at home. Their kindness and professionalism really elevate the entire experience. That said, there are a few areas where some attention could make a big difference. The pool area, while serene, had quite cold water and the wooden decking could use some refreshing. Our room was comfortable, but not soundproof — something that might affect light sleepers. Breakfast, though of very good quality, leaned heavily toward hearty, lunch-style options. A few lighter choices would have been appreciated. Also worth noting: there is no separate bar area; everything happens in the same restaurant space, which slightly limits the atmosphere for a relaxed evening drink. In summary: the hotel has a lot of charm and potential, especially thanks to its setting and staff, but with a bit more love and fine-tuning, it could truly shine as a 5-star destination.
