The Gem Society Hotel

Absolutely fantastic hotel with super lovely staff! We were able to check into our room way earlier than anticipated, check in was later too which was great! Our breakfast was superb, and the serving staff were so friendly and efficient. Rooms were great sizes, and came with all amenities. Close to popular streets and fantastic restaurants. Cannot fault the hotel at all and would 100% recommend

I was here 6 nights in total at the start and end of my Greek tour and loved it. Great staff who were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, spacious airy rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent restaurant on-site. I gather from friends that a few rooms lack windows but I did not experience that. Worth checking when you book. Very convenient location, near lots of shops, restaurants and maybe 22-25 minute walk to the Acropolis, 8-10 minute walk to the Hop On Hop Off sightseeing bus, metro station less than 5 minutes away. I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to this fascinating country.

We were a group of four friends staying in two rooms at The Gem Society Boutique Hotel in Athens in May 2025. Overall we had a very good experience. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the rooms are stylish and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect—central, convenient, and within walking distance to many major attractions. For the price, it offers great value. However, we did have one disappointing experience that affected our stay. One of the housekeeping staff mistakenly disposed of a small bag that contained a concealer and an envelope with important tax-free documents. Despite our immediate report and the staff’s efforts to locate the items, they were never found. Unfortunately, no adequate compensation was offered for the loss, which was both frustrating and inconvenient. While we appreciated the hotel’s overall quality and service, we believe situations like this should be handled more seriously, with accountability and fair compensation.
