The General Palmer Hotel

Our family had a great time during our one night stay. The location is perfect with many shops and restaurants that are walking distance. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. There is a balcony to enjoy from fresh air. Now to what sets this hotel apart from others. The staff were amazing! All of the staff is very nice, welcoming, and courteous. Chandler is the one who helped us the most. He was able to take some time to show us around and make us feel welcomed. If we are ever back in Durango, we will definitely stay here!

Amy, Lucia, Rosa, and many other staff members were more than accommodating. The Palmer is a historic gem near so many beautiful sites. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. There is coffee on every level and in the room. The entrance always smells like fresh baked cookies. The views from the rooms are gorgeous. The balcony and elevator are to die for. I look forward to coming back to Durango and staying at the General Palmer.

Our party had 2 queen rooms. We loved the historical furnishings in the rooms and the hotel in general. The elevator was cool as was the library. The breakfast buffet was yummy! We had waffles, eggs, sausage links, and biscuits and gravy. There was also cereal and pastries. Fresh coffee 24 hours a day appealed to my husband. The front desk guys were amazing. You could tell how much they loved their job. They helped us find our way around the area. We highly recommend this historic gem in the heart of Durango!
